However, the thing that got this obscure little squid noticed was this photo of its mouth, showing what seem to be disturbingly human-like teeth.  P. sulcus is known from a single specimen caught by the German research vessel R/V Walther Herwig in an open net off Tristan Da Cunha, southern Atlantic Ocean, at a depth of 1750–2000 m.
